My Story

Hello to everyone there who likes traveling and exploring new places. I am Rano from Uzbekistan, a university lecturer. I have been teaching for about twenty years, and up to last year I would get very tired by the end of the academic year and like most teachers would look forward to the weekend and summer holidays. Over the last year it all changed – I still wait for the weekends, but not to spend the day at home, watching TV and having a rest.

I look forward to the new places to explore with new people. It all started about three years ago with the hike to the lake Urungach, which is about four hours drive from Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan. I absolutely loved the place and although I got physically tired, emotionally I was so relaxed, and the positive emotions from the trip lasted for a long time. In the same year, I went only twice to the mountains in the summer, and mostly it was because I was waiting for my friends to join. The next year again I went two or three times, and once I went on my own with a group where everyone was new for me. I enjoyed the trip so much that I decided to do it as often as I can.

This blog is going to be about the places I go on hiking or traveling, some features that make those places different from the others and overall impressions I get there.
